A magnetic LED warning bar exists for one reason: move a full warning light between vehicles in seconds, with no tools and no drilling. That makes it the right tool for a defined set of users — and the wrong tool for others. Choosing it for the wrong reason is the most common specification mistake in this category.
What a Magnetic Bar Is
The bar carries a set of high-strength base magnets and a cable to the vehicle’s power. The result is roof-level visibility without modifying the vehicle. The unit is placed on a flat roof, the cable is routed into the cabin, and it is operating.
Who Magnetic Bars Are For
Volunteer fire, rescue, and EMS — responders use personal or shared vehicles and cannot fit a permanent bar to each.
Hire and rental fleets — the same warning unit travels with the vehicle rather than being built into it.
Seasonal and event work — pilot and escort duties, event marshals, and temporary road work where deployment is short and moves daily.
Multi-vehicle operations with a rotating pool — a depot running ten vehicles with two permanent-fit positions can hold two magnetic units and deploy them as needed, instead of fitting all ten.

The Limits — Be Honest Here
Surface. Magnets need a ferrous, reasonably flat roof. Aluminium and composite roofs will not hold a magnet at speed, and a curved roof reduces contact area.
Security at speed and over rough ground. A magnet is only as good as its rated holding force. The unit must be rated for the vehicle’s operating speed and road conditions, and it must be tested to that rating. A magnetic bar rated for a depot shuttle is not the same as one rated for a highway response vehicle.
Gestio kabloj.
Lokaj reguloj — kelkaj merkatoj limigas provizorajn tegmentajn avertoaparatojn aŭ ilian uzon sur publikaj vojoj; konfirmu antaŭ specifi.

A: Minime. Magneta superficiem ferream requirunt.
